Booking
Do you organise events?
No. We hire out and run the event tech: sound, lighting, LED screens, stages, DJs, video and streaming. We work with event organisers, venues and companies running their own events.
What does the quote include?
The full kit list, so you can see what you're paying for.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. November and December fill up first, with year-end functions.
Do you stay for the whole event?
Yes. Our technicians run the sound, screens and lights for the whole event, then pack down.
FAQ
LED Screens
How much does LED screen hire cost?
It depends on the size of the wall, how many days you need it and what it has to show. Send us the venue, the date and the guest count, and we'll send a quote with the full kit list.
How big can the LED wall be?
LED walls are built from panels, so we size the wall to your stage, your room and your budget. Send us the venue and the guest count and we'll suggest a size.
Do you supply someone to run it?
Yes. A technician sets up the wall, runs your content and stays for the whole event.
Can you show our slides and videos?
Yes. Send your slides and videos before the event and we'll load and test them on the wall.
Should we use an LED wall or a projector?
An LED wall stays bright in a lit room and suits bigger stages. Projectors and screens work well for smaller rooms and training sessions. We hire out both.
Do you hire out TV screens?
Yes. We have 65-inch TVs on truss stands for side screens, breakaway rooms and stage monitors.

FAQ
Planning
How big should an LED screen be for 200 people?
It depends on how far away the back row is, not on the headcount. Measure from the screen to the furthest seat and divide by six for slides, or by eight for video. That gives you the screen height.
What is pixel pitch?
Pixel pitch is the distance between the LEDs on a screen, in millimetres. As a rule of thumb, the closest comfortable viewing distance in metres is about the pixel pitch in millimetres, so a 3.9 mm screen looks smooth from about 4 metres away.
Can an LED screen be used outdoors?
Yes, with outdoor-rated panels, which are brighter and made to handle the weather. Tell us the event is outdoors when you ask for a quote.
Is an LED screen better than a projector?
For big rooms, bright rooms and stages, usually yes, because an LED wall stays bright with the lights on. For small rooms that can be dimmed, a projector and screen often does the job for less.
Should I use an LED screen or a projector?
Use an LED wall for big rooms, rooms you can't dim, outdoor events and stages. Use a projector and screen for boardrooms, training rooms and breakaways that can be dimmed.
Do LED screens work in daylight?
Yes. LED walls make their own light, so they stay bright with the room lights on, and outdoor-rated panels work in daylight. Projectors wash out in bright light.
Is a projector cheaper than an LED wall?
Usually, yes, especially for one small room. An LED wall costs more but also becomes the set, with your branding, video and graphics.
Can we use a TV instead?
For small rooms, side screens and stage monitors, yes. A 65-inch TV on a stand is often the simplest choice.
How much sound do I need for 100 people?
For speeches and background music, two speakers on stands, a small mixer and wireless mics usually do it. A DJ or a band needs bigger speakers and subwoofers.
What is a line array?
A column of speakers hung in a gentle curve, often flown from truss. It spreads sound evenly from the front of a big crowd to the back.
How many microphones do I need?
One for each person who speaks at the same time, one or two for questions from the floor, and a spare.
Do I need a sound engineer?
For anything bigger than a few speeches, yes. An engineer sets the levels, stops feedback and keeps the speeches clear. Our sound bookings include one.
What is a confidence monitor?
A screen at the front of the stage, facing the speaker, that shows their slides and notes so they don't have to turn around.
When should speakers send their slides?
The day before is best, so the technician can load and test them. Ask for 16:9 slides, and keep a copy on a USB stick.
How early does the AV set up?
For big rooms, often the day before. For small rooms, early on the day. We agree the times with your venue.
What is a wash light?
A light that floods the stage, the walls or the ceiling with even colour. It's how a room is put in your brand colours.
What is a moving head?
A light that pans, tilts and changes colour on cue. Beam versions throw tight shafts of light that sweep across the room.
Will haze set off the fire alarm?
It can set off some smoke detectors, so we check the venue's rules before the event.
What do I need to live stream an event?
Cameras, a switcher, clean sound from the sound desk, a streaming computer, a wired internet line and a technician to run it.
What internet speed do I need to live stream?
Upload speed is what counts. A full-HD stream usually needs about 4 to 6 Mbps, so ask for a steady wired upload of at least double that.
What is a run of show?
The timed plan for the night, from the doors to the dance floor, with every award, speech and cue in order.
Can the winners stay secret?
Yes. Send the winner slides separately, and the technician loads each one only on its cue.
Do we need walk-up music for every winner?
It helps, because it covers the walk to the stage. One track for every winner works too.
How long should each award take?
A couple of minutes keeps the night moving. Save the longer speeches for the main awards.
What do I need for an outdoor event?
A power plan, cover from rain and sun, more speakers than indoors, secure truss and screens, lights for after dark, and truck access for the crew.
Can you plan the power?
Yes. Tell us what power the site has, and we'll work out what the sound, lights and screens need.
Do LED screens work outdoors?
Yes, with outdoor-rated panels, which are brighter and made for the weather.
Do outdoor events need more sound?
Yes. With no walls to carry it, the same crowd needs more speakers outdoors than indoors.
